This parade is a fund raiser for our Krewe. Each attendee must pay a fee to participate in the parade. Fee for members & their families is $25 per person. Fee for all others is $35 per person. Visit the ‘Shop’ link on the krewe membership website to pay fees.  Payment of fees will be your registration for the parade.

Children's Parade Bead Load & Float Preparation Party - Friday, January 21, 2022 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Stepp’s Float Storage, 5116 Shadowlawn Avenue, Tampa, FL

Children's Parade - Saturday, January 22, 2022.  Float arrives by 1:00 PM, Participants must arrive by 3:00 PM, parade starts at 3:30 PM.  We are staging #82 near between Fair Oaks and W Lawn Ave on Bayshore Blvd.  Parade starts at Bay to Bay and continues North to Watrous/Orleans Ave.  Approximate ending time is 6:00 PM. 

Timing Details: The float will arrive at staging between Noon and 1pm. The parade starts rolling at 3:30pm. We are #82 in the parade line-up. Please arrive at the float no later than 3pm to ensure you and guests are situated and ready to roll. Please be prepared to wait at the float for 1 hour (best guess) from the parade start time until our float actually starts rolling. We will have a soccer ball, football & kickball, as well as temporary tattoos for entertainment prior to parade.

Wristbands are Required: You must have a wristband to enter the staging area. Wristbands will be distributed at the bead drop. If you cannot make it to the bead drop, please text Denise Alexander or Rachael Alexander to see if someone can accommodate another way for you to pick up your wristband(s).

  • Direct from parade organizers: Attempting to participate in the parade without a wristband will result in the Krewe’s suspension from all Gasparilla Activity for up to 3 years.

Food & Drink: GUESTS SHOULD EAT A FULL LUNCH BEFORE COMING. This is a long day & snacks / drinks at the float may be limited. The krewe is taking donations for food / drink. If you have donation please contact Denise Alexander via text.

Costume Reminders: Full garb is not required for this parade. However, if you choose to dress, please remember costume guidelines & try your costume now! Cosutme policy is located on the website under Profile => Docs section. There are two costume events, check the calendar (Pirate Fashions on Jan 8th and Bebe's house on January 9th.)

Security: We can always use more security volunteers. If you have a volunteer please reach out to Rachael Alexander.

Transportation: You must provide your own transportation to/from the parade. The approximate location of the float in staging will be on Bayshore Blvd. between W. Lawn Ave and W. Fair Oaks Ave. We suggest parking at the end (Hyde Park or Downtown area) and getting a ride to staging, or vice-versa. It is approximately a 3.5 mile walk from where the floats will be stopped at the end of the parade back to our original staging location.

Rules: Zero tolerance - the Krewe will be banned from all Gasparilla participation for up to 3 years for any rule violation.

    • ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL. Anyone with alcohol or intoxicated will be asked to leave
    • Above all else – listen to Police & Parade Marshalls!
    • Krewe Security is there to help – listen to them & ask for help when needed
    • No distribution of beads or other give-aways before Bay to Bay. Toss all beads underhanded
    • THERE IS NO ENTERING OR EXITING THE FLOAT from the time it starts until we are instructed by Parade Marshalls or Police.
    • Children under 13 years hold should plan to ride the float.
    • DO NOT pick up beads from the ground. DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN to stop to pick up beads.  Move to the side rail if you must stop for any reason & ask security for assistance.
    • NO GLASS allowed!

Gasparilla Air Invasion - Day: 3pm to 3:30pm Parachute Jump Team

Gasparilla Air Invasion - Night: 6pm Parachute Jump Team

Post- Parade Fireworks: 6:30 PM along Bayshore Blvd. Food vendors are available, bring cash.
