to Help Alexander Brooks Petrilli get Life-Saving Heart Care
The Krewe of St. Brigit in partnership with O'Toole's Irish Pub are hosting a Vegas night fundraiser to raise money for a local family whose little boy needs life-saving heart care and they must move to Texas to get the care he needs. Alexander Brooks Petrilli was born with Transposition of the Great Arteries, a major heart defect. After his birth, he was airlifted to a children’s hospital and underwent a balloon atrial septostomy, had a stroke, open-heart surgery called arterial switch (which went well until his lungs hemorrhaged after surgery), ECMO, seizures, multiple lung collapses requiring another surgery called a diaphragm plication to get him off the ventilator, and numerous other interventions. He has since been failure to thrive and has had decreased heart function requiring multiple medications to try and help his heart function. He now shows severe pulmonary hypertension and the only coronary that works is starting to narrow. Because of these new findings he needs a higher lever of care in specialized heart failure and transplant. His parents are picking everything up and moving to another state to get the best care for their son but they also have two other very young children at home to care for as well. We want to help this family raise as much money as possible to help their family out with medical and moving costs so they can focus on their son's health.
On Friday December 12th at O'Tooles Irish Pub, our fundraiser will be a Casino night with games like blackjack and other fun games. For $50 you can buy chips to gamble with all night. If you have any winnings at the end of the night you can use your chips to buy raffle tickets for baskets donated to this event. O'Tooles will be running drink and food specials with a portion of the proceeds from the special going to the Petrilli family. You can also directly buy raffle tickets to try and win a basket and join us for fun, food, and community.
